Yvonne Wood FCA - Managing Director

Yvonne is a chartered accountant and founded the practice in 1985.

For over twenty five years she has worked extensively with legal practices providing taxation and business advice, dealing with partnership change, tax planning, always working closely with partners.

In recent years, incorporation has been high on her agenda for improving tax efficiency and she has acheived significant tax savings for her many client practices that are now trading as limited companies.

Stuart Littler ACA - Associate Director

Stuart is a Chartered Accountant and Associate Director of Bennett Brooks who started with the firm in 1996, over which time he has supported Yvonne Wood with the solicitors portfolio and who also has experience of other 'client money' practices such as insurance brokers, estate agents and letting agents.

He has gained an extensive knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules which supports his pro-active approach to his solicitors' clients, not only in the accounts and Accountant's Report aspects but also by providing continual assistance and management support.

Peter Lane DMS - Director of Management Consultancy

Peter is a solicitor who has been a management consultant with Bennett Brooks since 1994 having previously been manager at the Chester office of the Legal Aid Board.

His experience includes introducing systems to achieve quality standards and preparing business/service plans and financial projections.

His client base is principally with legal practices where he has provided consultancy support to implement franchising, Lexcel and Investors in People standards. He delivers seminars on anti money laundering, proceedures LEXCEL and introducing risk management many other topics. He is an assessor for both Lexcel and Investors in People

G Michael Swift FCA MAE QDR MCIArb - Director of Forensic Services

Michael qualified in 1972 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Member of the Academy of Experts, a Registered Auditor and a qualified panel mediator with a 90 % success rate.

Michael has acted as an expert witness for 28 years and has worked for Claimants, Defendants and as a Single Joint Expert. He has been trained as an Expert Witness and has given evidence on many occasions. He has prepared reports in connection with claims for personal Injury, business disruption, fatal accidents, Industrial Disease, CICA, clinical and professional negligence. Other work has included share valuations, divorce and investigations for theft and false accounting, Counterfeit goods and proceeds of crime.
