Changes to the Solicitors Accounts Rules - with effect from 31st March 2009.

Due to the SRA’s general updating procedure of the rules to introduce the firm-based regulation and legal disciplinary practices (LDP’s) as per the Legal Services Act 2007, the Accounts Rules have been amended as at 31st March 2009.

The SRA website provides the amended rules with a helpful ‘tracker’ facility which clearly demonstrates the amendments that have been made, which can be found by clicking HERE.

All fee earners and accounting personal should be made aware of these changes...we suggest that all relevant personnel should have a ‘shortcut’ link on their computer to these amended rules.
